Superstructures: Treeees
2022
I am always looking for new ways to see using the camera and taking advantage of the opportunities the camera offers for new forms of visual representation. Superstructures: Treeees expands upon SuperStructures: Bigger!Taller!MoreDynamic! examining the first real superstructutres – before buildings.
Using the multiple exposure features in-camera I “painted” trees with the camera. The process is both additive and reductive, highlighting some features while obliterating others, to create images that express the structure of nature in a new and dynamic way.
Superstructures is a series within the ‘Persistence of Vision’ project exploring the aspect of time through in-camera techniques to create multiple exposures of a subject combined into a single image.
